After a legislative hiatus due to Covid-19, safety laws in the UK are changing. In response to the Grenfell disaster, we have new Acts to address building and fire management; and following the attack at Manchester Arena there are new security laws under discussion. There have also been important updates to existing requirements, for example within the Highway Code and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at Work Regulations.
This course has been designed to help refresh your knowledge and ensure your organisation remains compliant with all the latest changes. We will explore significant updates across the past year and put these into context with practical examples and use cases. We then look ahead at the next wave of legislation in October to help you prepare for these upcoming changes and manage safety with confidence.
This concise course is perfect for managers and team-leaders with responsibility for safety in the workplace. Safety professionals who want to keep their knowledge up to date would also benefit from this course.
By actively participating in this course, you will learn how to:
Summarise significant changes to safety legislation within the past year
Analyse how these changes affect your own organisation and area of operation
Explain the context of these changes and identify who is most affected
Develop an Action Plan
