Can you train a team rather than just individuals?

Yes. We regularly deliver training for teams and organisations through closed company and onsite courses, which can often be tailored to suit your systems, priorities and ways of working.

Can you help us choose the right training for our team?

Our Training Support Team can be contacted on 0117 370 1970 or by email at trainingsupport@skilltec.co.uk

Can I speak to the trainer who ran the course I attended?

Yes, although it is not always possible to speak directly with the trainer straight away because of their schedule but this can be arranged with advance planning. Our training support team can also liaise with the trainer on your behalf.

Is courseware included with the course?

Course materials are included as standard. You’ll usually receive downloadable courseware to use during the training and keep as a handy reference afterwards. If course materials vary for a particular course, we’ll let you know before the course starts.

Virtual Classrooms and Technical Requirements

What is the Skilltec Virtual Classroom?

Our Virtual Classroom is a live, trainer-led environment that allows delegates to attend from anywhere. It is designed to replicate the classroom experience as closely as possible, with practical exercises, discussion and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

What platforms do you use for virtual training sessions?

Our public scheduled virtual courses are mainly delivered on Microsoft Teams. For closed company training, we also use Teams as standard but we are happy to alternatives if your organisation uses an alternative platform as standard.

What are the technical requirements for virtual training?

You will need access to the platform your course is being delivered on, usually Teams or Zoom, along with a stable internet connection. For software-based courses, delegates must also have access to the relevant software. It is important to make sure there are no network restrictions that would prevent access on the day.

Do I need a copy of the software to attend the course?

For virtual classroom training, yes. If your course involves a specific software package, you will need access to that software so you can take part properly in the exercises. For some courses, the correct software licence may also be required.

Do I need two screens?

A second screen is not essential but for many software courses it is strongly recommended. It makes it much easier to follow the trainer on one screen while working through exercises on the other. A tablet, second laptop, or additional monitor can all work well.

What software versions are supported?

This varies by course, but the supported version is normally listed on the course page but if you are unsure whether the version you are using is suitable, please ask before booking.  Many of our courses are generally not suitable for MAC users unless stated otherwise on the course page.

These can be found under our full Terms and Conditions

What is your refund policy?

Refunds may be issued where cancellation falls in line with our standard terms and conditions.
