What is Agile?
The Agile methodology is a way to manage a project by breaking them up into several phases. It involves constant collaboration with stakeholders and continuous improvement at every stage. Once the work begins, teams work through a process of planning, executing, and evaluating.
One of the aims of this agile - or iterative - approach is to release benefits throughout the process rather than only at the end. Each section or iteration is reviewed and critiqued by the project team - which should include representatives of the project's various stakeholders – and any insights gained are used to determine what the next step should be.
One of the main benefits, therefore, of getting started with Agile Project Management is its ability to respond to issues that arise throughout the course of the project. Making a necessary change to a project at the right time can save resources and help to deliver a successful project on time and within budget.
