Microsoft 365 Power BI Training Courses

We offer three levels of Power BI training as part of our wider IT Office Applications portfolio; Power BI Fundamentals Part 1 which is perfect for new users and those with no formal training, then the Power BI Fundamentals Part 2 for those who have taken the Fundamentals course or have equivalent knowledge.  Moving on from there, you can then attend the Power BI DAX course.

Our Power BI Fundamentals Part 1 course introduces users to the entire experience of Power BI; from connecting data streams to building reports and publishing. Starting with Power BI Desktop, you will learn how to connect data, using Excel as the primary data source. Then, you will use Power Query Editor to clean and transform the data to create a data model. You can read more about what's covered in our Power BI Fundamentals course outline. 

Power BI Fundamentals Part 2 takes a deeper look into the topics which can really make your use of Power BI more effective and specific to your data. Starting with Data Modelling, you will first look at Star Schemas with Fact and Dimension Tables; you are then shown Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) in more detail, using calculated columns and measures. You can read more about what's covered in our Power BI Fundamentals Part 2 course outline.

Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) are a library of functions and operators that can be combined to build formulas and expressions in Power BI. In our Power BI DAX course, participants will explore how to use DAX to analyse their data.   You can read more about what's covered in our Power BI DAX course outline.
